JillAnne's passion for connecting through improvisation is what keeps her working and playing every day, as her students and community members have shown her time and again the power improv can give to increase self-esteem, improve communication, and help people to manage daily stress.
Her own life experience has been colored by the many ways improv can help those from all walks of life; with greater growth through diversity and underrepresented communities, ESL learning and development, and modified play for those with health conditions, impairments and challenges, improv is for everyone.
JillAnne has especially learned its impact on those in caregiving positions, people suffering from PTSD and CPTSD and anxiety, and those suffering from life changes and loss, among so many other traumatic life events. She truly believes in the healing affect that comedy, improv, storytelling, clown, musical improv and expressive play can have on the world.

“Every day is a gift if you can stay present, grounded and in a listening place. A listening place leads to an understanding place. The best communicators are avid listeners”

JillAnne has taught people from all walks of life the value of staying in the moment and the power of active listening, positive interactions, and the role community building can play in people’s lives. Her core beliefs are rooted in appreciation of one another’s words and intention of thought and speech, eliminating defensive posturing in favor of more open vulnerability in daily interactions, and the value of therapy and doing the hard work necessary to eliminate abuse cycles and generational trauma. She additionally specializes in coaching those with issues that have touched her own life, such as PTSD, social anxiety and agoraphobia, alcoholism and addiction issues, grief and caregiving trauma, and survivors of abuse.
